Virtual Sound Baths From the Comfort of Home
Experience a live virtual sound bath from home with crystal singing bowls and a gong. Online sound baths give you a simple way to slow down, step away from constant stimulation, and create intentional time for rest without having to travel anywhere.
Whether you’re looking for a regular weekly practice, a private experience, or a virtual sound bath for your team, there’s an option designed to meet you where you are.
What Is a Virtual Sound Bath?
A virtual sound bath is a live guided listening experience you can join online using your phone, tablet, or computer.
Instead of traveling to a studio or wellness space, you get comfortable at home while I play crystal singing bowls and a gong live through your device.
There’s nothing you need to perform or get right. You don’t need meditation experience, special equipment, or a perfectly quiet mind.
You simply get comfortable and listen.
For the best experience, I recommend using headphones or earbuds so you can hear more of the depth and detail of the instruments.
Why Try a Sound Bath at Home?
An online sound bath removes many of the barriers that can make regular wellness practices difficult to maintain.
There’s no commute, no parking, and no need to leave your home after the session ends. When the sound bath is over, you can stay exactly where you are instead of immediately transitioning back into traffic, errands, or another busy environment.
Virtual sound baths can also make it easier to experience sound more consistently. Rather than waiting until your schedule allows for an in-person event, you can create dedicated time to slow down from wherever you are.
That consistency can help make rest something you practice regularly instead of something you only reach for once you’re exhausted.
Ways to Experience a Virtual Sound Bath
Grounded Rebel Weekly Virtual Sound Baths
Grounded Rebel is my virtual sound bath membership for people who want a consistent place to slow down and rest.
Members can join a live virtual sound bath every Wednesday at 7 PM Central from home. You can get comfortable, put on your headphones, and simply listen.
Membership is $22 per month, which works out to approximately $5.50 per live weekly session.
Private One-on-One Virtual Sound Baths
A private virtual sound bath gives you a more personal experience without requiring you to travel.
Your session is held live online, giving you dedicated time to step away from everything asking for your attention and experience sound from a comfortable space of your choosing.
Private virtual sessions can be a good fit if you prefer a quieter setting, want an experience just for yourself, or simply enjoy the convenience of joining from home.
Virtual Sound Baths for Groups
Virtual sound baths can also be booked for private groups, retreats, gatherings, and other shared experiences.
Everyone can join from their own space while still participating in the same live session together.
Virtual Corporate Sound Baths
Remote and hybrid teams can experience a live virtual corporate sound bath from wherever they’re working.
Virtual sessions can be incorporated into employee wellness programming, team retreats, company events, leadership gatherings, or other opportunities to create intentional space away from the usual pace of work.
What Happens During a Live Virtual Sound Bath?
Every session is designed to feel simple and approachable.
You’ll have time to get settled before the sound begins. Depending on the session, I may guide you through a brief breathing exercise before transitioning into an immersive sound bath using my seven-bowl set of crystal singing bowls and a gong.
You don’t need to follow along, watch the screen, or actively participate once the sound bath begins.
You can close your eyes, get comfortable, and listen.
At the end, I gradually bring the sound to a close so you have a few moments to transition before moving on with the rest of your day or evening.
What Do I Need for a Virtual Sound Bath?
You don’t need much.
Choose somewhere you can get comfortable without being interrupted if possible. You can lie on your bed, couch, yoga mat, or sit somewhere supportive.
You’ll also need a phone, tablet, or computer with an internet connection.
I strongly recommend headphones or earbuds for virtual sound baths because they allow you to hear more of the detail and resonance in the crystal singing bowls and a gong.
Blankets, pillows, an eye mask, or anything else that helps you relax are completely optional.
Are Virtual Sound Baths as Good as In-Person Sound Baths?
They’re different experiences, and I don’t think one needs to replace the other.
An in-person sound bath allows you to experience more of the physical resonance of the instruments in the room. There’s also something meaningful about intentionally traveling somewhere and stepping into a space created for rest.
A sound bath from home, however, gives you something an in-person session can’t: when it ends, you’re already home.
You can stay where you are, go to bed, journal, take a bath, or simply enjoy the quiet without immediately getting back in the car.
For many people, that convenience makes virtual sound baths easier to incorporate into everyday life.
A More Affordable Way to Experience Sound Baths Regularly
Individual in-person sound baths can become expensive if you want to attend regularly.
If a session costs around $30 and you attend every week, that adds up to approximately $1,560 over the course of a year.
Grounded Rebel is $22 per month, giving members access to a live virtual sound bath every Wednesday for about $5.50 per session.
Virtual sound baths don’t have to replace in-person experiences. They simply provide another way to make rest more accessible and consistent.
Meet Your Virtual Sound Practitioner
I’m Courtney, a certified sound practitioner and the person behind Sixth & Twelfth Sound.
My approach to sound baths is grounded, practical, and designed for people who want the benefits of slowing down without feeling like they have to become a different person to participate in wellness.
I use a seven-bowl set of crystal singing bowls along with a gong to facilitate both in-person and virtual sound bath experiences for individuals, private groups, and corporate teams.
I’m based in the Chicago area, but virtual sessions make it possible to experience a Sixth & Twelfth Sound sound bath from anywhere.
